ASHDOD

We took a day to drive out to Ashdod
(about 40 minutes from our kibbutz).
It is a port town on the Mediterranean cost.

The forecast was for rain, but the sun shined overhead the whole time we were there. =)

The  sand was amazing - very fine and almond colored. I dream of having this sand in our volleyball court.

The wind blew in every direction possible. Our hair went a little crazy.

Isn't this nice? How would you like to  have  signs saying this in our state? (instead of "No Loitering" or "$1000 fine for littering")   ;-)

We were collecting many cute little shells when I noticed that "Charlie" here got washed up in his poor little life (actually he was about 1 foot long). So after pondering the purpose of his washed out life, I decided to turn him into calamari! (It was salty, but very yummy!)  =D

  1. You ate the washed up squid! Too funny. I wouldn't even know where to begin on how to cook a squid.
